On Sunday, August 30, 2026, the clergy and faithful of St. Vladimir Cathedral joyfully congratulated Mr. Michael Jogan on receiving 3rd place in the 2026 Ukrainian Orthodox League Essay Contest of the UOC of the USA for his reflection on the question, “Is there a connection between our beliefs as Orthodox Christians and Environmental Stewardship?” Michael reminds us that caring for God’s creation with love and responsibility is part of our Christian calling. As St. Peter teaches, “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10). May Christ bless Michael and guide him always. Many Blessed Years!

Володимира з радістю привітали пана Михайла Джоґана із здобуттям 3-го місця у конкурсі творів Української Православної Ліги Української Православної Церкви США за його роздуми над питанням: “Чи існує зв’язок між нашими переконаннями як православних християн і відповідальним ставленням до навколишнього середовища?” Михайло нагадує нам, що турбота про Боже творіння з любов’ю та відповідальністю є частиною нашого християнського покликання. Як навчає святий апостол Петро: «Служіть один одному, кожен тим даром, якого отримав, як добрі домоуправителі різноманітної благодаті Божої» (1 Пет. 4:10). Нехай Христос благословляє Михайла та завжди провадить його. Многая і благая літа!

On Sunday, August 30, the beautiful new blue robes (stykhars) for the Altar Servers of St. Vladimir Cathedral were blessed and dedicated to the glory of God.

With heartfelt gratitude, we sincerely thank the Morgan and Greaves families for their generous sponsorship of these beautiful stykhars on the occasion of our parish’s Centennial Celebration, in loving memory of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather, the servant of God Earl.

May these stykhars serve our Altar Servers for many years as they faithfully and prayerfully serve our Lord at His Holy Altar. May the memory of the servant of God Earl be eternal, and may our Lord Jesus Christ richly bless the Morgan and Greaves families for their generosity, love, and devotion to His Holy Church, granting them good health, peace, joy, and Many Blessed Years!

У неділю, 30 серпня, були освячені та посвячені на славу Божу прекрасні нові сині стихарі для вівтарних прислужників нашого Кафедрального Собору св. Володимира.

Зі щирою та сердечною вдячністю висловлюємо подяку родинам Морґан і Ґрівс за їхню щедру пожертву на придбання цих прекрасних стихарів з нагоди 100-літнього ювілею нашої парафії, у світлу пам’ять їхнього дорогого чоловіка, батька та дідуся, раба Божого Ерла.

In his final days, Iwan was surrounded by his devoted wife and loved ones and passed away peacefully at home.

Beloved husband of Olha (Nee Dowhal); Loving father of Linda Konowal (Walter), John Michailuk (Sue), and Mari Rundo (Tony, deceased) who he lovingly raised as his own;

Dearest grandfather of Danylo, Michaylo (Sofia), Alek, Kathleen (Cody), Makayla, Brandi (James), Vinny (Lisa), Gina (Scott), Jacob, Nicky, Gracie, Lena and Joey.

Preceded in death by his parents Mykola and Maria, and his siblings Wasyl, Maria and George.

Congratulations to the newly-wed servants of God Volodymyr Casey Bulyca and Olga Khalina! On Saturday, July 18, 2026, they received, at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma, Ohio, the Holy Sacrament of the Holy Matrimony. May God grant them many blessed years!

On Sunday, June 28, following the second Divine Liturgy at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma, Ohio, the clergy of our cathedral gathered for the blessing of a beautiful new set of red clergy vestments. The blessing was celebrated by the Pastor, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Hontaruk, together with Pastor Emeritus, Protopresbyter Fr. John Nakonachny. These vestments were generously sponsored by the St. Olha Sisterhood, under the leadership of its President, Pani Iryna Dudyak, as a commemorative gift marking the Centennial of our beloved parish. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to the members of the St. Olha Sisterhood for this generous donation and for their many years of faithful service, sacrifice, and dedication. Through their tireless work, generosity, and love for Christ and His Church, they continue to strengthen and enrich the life of our parish, helping to ensure the continued growth, vitality, and bright future of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. May our Lord Jesus Christ abundantly bless each of them with good health, peace, strength, and His richest heavenly blessings, and reward them with Many Blessed Years!

У неділю, 28 червня, після другої Божественної Літургії у Свято-Володимирському Українському Православному Соборі в Пармі, Огайо, духовенство собору звершило чин освячення нового комплекту червоних священничих риз. Чин освячення звершили настоятель собору, протоієрей о. Михайло Гонтарук, у співслужінні з настоятелем-емеритом протопресвітером о. Іваном Наконечним.

Ці прекрасні ризи були щедро пожертвувані Сестрицтвом святої Ольги під керівництвом його голови, пані Ірини Дудяк, як пам’ятний дар з нагоди 100-літнього ювілею нашої улюбленої парафії.

Висловлюємо щиру сердечну вдячність усім членкиням Сестрицтва св. Ольги за цей щедрий дар, а також за їхні багаторічні вірні труди, жертовність і віддане служіння. Своєю невтомною працею, щедрістю та любов’ю до Христа і Його Святої Церкви вони й надалі зміцнюють і збагачують життя нашої парафії, сприяючи її подальшому розвитку, духовному зростанню та світлому майбутньому.

On the glorious Feast of Holy Pentecost, our St. Vladimir Parish family was blessed to celebrate two beautiful milestones in the lives of our young people.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our 2026 First Holy Confession Class on receiving this sacred Holy Sacrament for the first time. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly as you continue to grow in faith, prayer, and love for God. May the grace you received through Holy Confession guide your hearts throughout your lives and help you remain steadfast in Christ and His Holy Church. We express our sincere gratitude to our Youth Minister, Mrs. Oksana Logvynyuk, for her dedication and loving preparation of our children for this very special and holy day.

We also congratulate our High School Graduates as they embark upon a new chapter in their lives. It was our joy to recognize your accomplishments and present each of you with an Orthodox Study Bible as a reminder that God’s Word should always be your guide and companion. As you continue your studies in colleges and universities, may the Holy Spirit enlighten your minds, strengthen your faith, protect you from every temptation, and keep you close to our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless you with wisdom, success, good health, and His abundant grace in all that you do.

As we celebrated the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, we were reminded that the same Holy Spirit continues to guide and strengthen the faithful today. May He lead our children and graduates throughout their lives, helping them grow in holiness, serve God faithfully, and become shining witnesses of Christ in the world.
